This is our very very special Guardian Angel.  Her name is Grace 
   and she came to us with cancer in her leg with only a month left
   in her life.  
   
   We took her in and experienced the most
   pure joy in her innocence and love and were tickled pink with
   her antics and beauty.  When the cancer in her leg finally
   made it so uncomfortable for her to move around, we opted to
   (thanks to a generous donation by New Creation United
   Church of Christ) amputate the cancerous leg which
   added another full year to her life.  

   As you can see from the pic to thte left (immediate post op),
   having only one leg did not stop her from helping herself to lunch :-)
   
   The ones that benefited most by this were the staff here at 
   Guardian Angels' Animal Haven, Inc.  This beauty taught us 
   what the word Grace meant and reminded all of us here of the
   pure innocence in animals and their complete dependence on us
   as humans for any joy in life and any return of the compassion,
   kindness and unconditional love that these creatures so freely
   give to us. We miss her so very much but were honored to
   have been a part of her life.








  And as you can see from picture to the left, 
  she never lost her cool and even in the face of
  losing a limb, continued to give unconditional
  love to those that were lucky enough to be
  near her.

 
This is Grace and Dude to the left.   They watched over the property together.  

Now Dude continues to do so in her absence but knows she is  ...  and always will be ... watching over us.
